Mowgli the Studio Cat

Lauren studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with instructors Louis Sloan, Will Barnet, Bruce Samuelson & Dan Miller.

She’s received numerous awards for her paintings, including the Academy’s William Emlen Cresson Traveling Scholarship Award. She’s exhibited extensively throughout the region and has received the Purchase Prize and First Prize for Painting from Art of the State at the PA State Museum. She’s the recipient of a fellowship with the Center for Emerging Visual Artists in Philadelphia which enabled her to attend the Villa L’Arrigo Rennaissance Atelier in Florence, Italy. Residencies include the Margo-Kelb Dune Shack in Provincetown, MA. Her studio was partially funded by Canada’s Elizabeth Greenshield Foundation Grant. Membership includes Assemblage Artists Collective whose members exhibit annually.
